After many years of patient waiting, the good lord has finally answered my prayers. Warner Bros. are preparing to release all 22 episodes of Fastlane in an extras-filled boxset in early July.

This show was one of my biggest guilty pleasures when it was on. Every single thing about it was uber-glossy and completely over the top. I'd say practically half the shots in each episode were in slow-motion (but with a cast as hot as that, you wont hear ME complaining!).

The best way to experience this show was to sit back, switch off your brain and let it wash over you. The series was chock full of so much action (explosions, car chases, massive gansta shootouts) that there was never a dull moment. The production was massive (each episode cost over $2million to make), the direction was so slick that it hurt and the music was amazingly hip-hop heavy. Actually, the main reason it was denied a release so long was specifically because the music it used in the show was only contracted for TV purposes. Fingers crossed the WB managed to secure the rights to the soundtrack for the dvd release, cause it just wouldnt be the same without it!!

It drives me Elemental!

Right now, Avatar: The Last Airbender is my absolute favourite show on the telly. I've just finished watching one of the best episodes of the season so far (Season 3, Episode 8) called "The Puppetmaster". It starts off all nice and safe (to lull you into a false sense of security), but by the end of the episode, my stomach was in knots! And then to close the episode on such a horrific and sombre note!!! I honestly don't know how the creators get away with this stuff on Nickelodeon of all places :P And here I was, worried that they'd gone all lighthearted and kiddy this season!

My real reason for this post is that last week the first two Avatar boxsets arrived on my doorstep! :D The slipcases and foldouts themselves are truly beautiful works of art. Here are some shots of them, for your viewing pleasure :)

I wanna be sedated

As Skeletor once said: "Everything comes to he who waits, and I have waited so VERY long for this moment".

Its only taken a mere twelve years for it to come round, but "the powers that be" have finally decided to release one of my fav shows EVER on DVD: "My So-Called Life"!!!! :D :D :D I'm sure that the clothes, the hair, the music and even the slang have dated horribly, but I just don't care, this is an essential purchase for anyone who was a teen in the 90s :P

When I watched that show, I felt as if the writers were reading my mind. The characters were like these kindred spirits who went through all the same weird self obsessing that I (and I assume everyone) went through while they're in school. It was like Claire Danes was living my life :P Except she got to hang around with Jared Leto *sigh*
